Children,
Allergies, and Asthma
The topic of children with allergies and/or
asthma is one that hits close to home for me. You see, I was an
allergic child, and -- like many asthmatic children -- I
was hospitalized several times a year for asthma, as was my
brother. Eventually, I grew into an allergic adult, but
fortunately, better asthma medications (e.g., preventive
steroid inhalers) came along to make the lives of many allergic
individuals much easier.
